What is an LPG system and how does it work?
An LPG system (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is a fuel injection system installed in petrol vehicles that allows driving on liquefied gas as an alternative or primary fuel source. The system consists of a gas tank, pressure reducer, injectors and an electronic control unit managing engine operation on gas. Modern 4th-generation LPG systems are fully compatible with vehicle electronics and allow seamless switching between petrol and gas.

LPG installation in Wrocław starts from 3500 PLN for 4-cylinder engines up to 150 HP (including STAG Q-BOX system and 55L tank). Installations for 6-cylinder engines start from 5500 PLN, while 8-cylinder systems start from 7500 PLN. The final price depends on the vehicle brand and model. LPG installation is especially cost-effective for drivers covering more than 15,000 km per year. The installation cost (from 3500 PLN) usually pays for itself after 10,000–30,000 km, which is approximately 6–18 months of driving. With an annual mileage of 20,000 km, drivers can save around 3000–4500 PLN per year on fuel costs.
LPG installation in a passenger car usually takes between 6 and 8 working hours. At ALMA AUTO, we accept the vehicle in the morning and return it on the same day after installation, testing and system calibration. For fleet vehicles or special configurations, the installation may take 1–2 working days.
Yes, ALMA AUTO specializes in LPG installation for hybrid vehicles. We use the STAG QNEXT PLUS system with OBD support, fully compatible with hybrid vehicle electronics. This solution is commonly used in Toyota Yaris, Corolla, Camry and Lexus models. The installation does not interfere with the hybrid electrical system.
An LPG system should be serviced every 15,000–20,000 km or at least once a year, depending on which comes first. During the inspection, we replace liquid and gas phase filters, check system tightness, reducer pressure and injector performance. The LPG inspection cost at ALMA AUTO is 200 PLN, including filters and labor.
Each LPG cylinder must be re-certified after 10 years of use — this is a legal requirement.
Re-certification is also necessary if the vehicle was involved in an accident or its registration document was seized.
